playing guitar since age of 25, now 60 +... do the math pls. Needed an escape from humdrum life so decided to get involved in something creative that would take me out of myself and my environment... music!
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Suzi Quatro... Hull 1976, Tiffany's. Went with then girlfriend and it was the first time I had worn specs, and the whole world opened up for me ... in lots of ways.
What gear do you use?
A cheapo Strat copy and a budget acoustic guitar. Recently acquired a Rickenbacker styled
semi which sucks but looks the part,, but part for what I know not!

Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
David Bowie.... lived with him every day through my early teenage years and of course Mick Ronson, a Hull legend and innovative musician of the highest calibre.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Too many to mention. All short-lived and bound by ability. Performing was fab .. when we got it right. Very rare event that though.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Buddy Holly ... because of the simplicity of his arrangements and the honesty in his lyrics.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
4 million on regional TV ...lol
One ... my dog Buster ...but even he gets tired of listening and heads back to his bed in another room for respite.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars. Heard it in 72? I just loved the lyrical content and Ronno's guitar and Bowie's voice and the theatre of it... a real story lurking underneath. . But then again, there's always Hunky Dory lurking in the head too.
