Larry Moad - Piano - Larry Moad "Bridge Over Troubled Water"- seemed like the right one for offertory: as a dedication to those lost after the accident on the 'Conception' where 34 souls were lost. The son of one couple from our church (part of the dive team) was lost. So sad....

Black Is the Color of Love- I was asked by Stephan Scoggins to arrange this piece that he and his mother wrote. The background vocals are rich and full, and Stephan has an amazing range! She is gone now....but the music lives on.

5.5.19 I asked a person last night that was leaving SoCal for Montana for the next 6 months if there was a special song that was her favorite that she'd like me to play. This one from Rogers & Hammerstein's 'Carousel' was the pick. I scraped the lyric from a Google search, pasted them onto a word doc with some space between the lines, and started this arrangement. This is definitely NOT R&H- but so many of us know the lyric, that I could stray from the melody and it would still make sense. Then the chord at the end leaves you suspended.... Turns out that this song was played at her son's memorial, and holds a very special place inside for her. Hope you enjoy this.

In The Garden. Mothers Day This is an old hymn that my mother loved. I played it for her memorial service, and break it out at special times- like her birthday, and Mothers Day.

4.29.18 'You' Original Composition by Larry Moad--- This is a piece I wrote in college- inspired by a 'life event.' Maybe you'll hear the story in it....

I Love The Lord/ I Love My God- instrumental This. Today. The hardest part is holding it back....let the power of the melody and cord progression build the foundation...and then layer....then kick it up a step and layer and build more. In my head I can hear the choir...I guess if those are the kinds of voices you hear in your head, they don't give you that long sleeve jacket that ties in the back....lol.

Larry Moad- "Imagine"This piece by the Beatles has always been one of my favorites; but my arrangement without lyric allows you to run the words through your head as you listen. I changed the chord structure in some spots, added a key change for added interest....and then a surprise chord at the end. Played on a Roland RD700FX. Turn up your speakers/ headphones for best audio. Christmas Eve/ 2015

This is my take with a slowed down, kind of eerie version of a traditional spiritual. Crank it up- add the headphones, and close your eyes.

This was recorded live at the 9a and 11a services 12/14/2014. At the 11a service, there is a baby in the sanctuary that was definitely in the music zone! The invention is on the original melody, but changed up a bit...and definitely slowed down and spread out over the keyboard. Hope you enjoy it.

Larry Moad; Oh Come EmmanuelThis is from December of 2013; inspired by Manheim Steamroller, this song is rich in the minor. Mysterious and full....quiet at first, then it opens up. Be patient :-) Hope you like it.

This is my own arrangement inspired by Manheim Steamroller- recorded live from Christmas Eve service, 2012. Better if you put your headphones on and close your eyes.....let the music take you somewhere else. Hope everyone had a wonder-filled holiday season. Enjoy!

Sometimes a simple piece from a musical works for an offeratory. This from 'Fiddler on the Roof' titled "Sabbath Prayer"- on the Roland700DX. I used a steel guitar sound layered with a pad behind. Enjoy!
